Staying Here

The Site

Oak Lodge Glamping is situated in the Breckland area of Norfolk, close to the towns of Thetford and Swaffham.

Breckland has one of the most distinctive landscapes in the UK and is known for its warm and sunny micro-climate.

The campsite itself is 10 acres and away from a busy main road. It’s the perfect place for adults to relax and unwind, for kids to explore and run around, for pets to enjoy.

We are an eco friendly site and try to keep our impact down.

Accommodation Bell Tents

Our bell tents are pitched on the grassy meadows surrounded by ancient oaks and beech trees, on level ground.

Each tent comes with its own camping table, fire pit and BBQ. There will be a small pile of complimentary logs to get you started on your first night. Additional firewood and charcoal for the BBQ is available to purchase on site.

Tents are fully furnished and include a duvet, 2 pillows and a blanket on each bed. We hope for good weather but it may still be a little cool at night. If you require extra blankets just ask.

We have nine 6 metre tents available, each sleeping up to 6 people. We have both double and single mattresses and can configure the tent to suit your requirements.

You will also be provided with table furnishings, fairy lights, fake (for safety reasons) candles to provide ambience and a mains lamp powered by the battery invertor. This supplies low level power to the tents and for devices to be able to be charged.

Our Animals

There are a variety of animals on site that you can visit and help to feed during the daily Animal Hour starting at 10am – there are three horses, three pigs, two pygmy goats, ducks, a variety of friendly chickens, a tortoise and even a snake!

The Facilities

We provide a communal kitchen (inside one of our steel caravans) and luxury shower / toilet unit.

We do supply low voltage mains power ample for light and charging devices but we encourage our glampers to enjoy the simple pleasures of campfires and outdoor lights.

The Caravan Communal Kitchen

Another twist to your glamping experience, the beautiful kitchen. Our retro caravan is home to the kitchen area. There are plenty of utensils and pans for you to use and an eclectic mix of mugs and plates!

There’s also a kettle, a 4-ring gas cooker and fridges for you to store your perishables. In the adjacent wash block is a large double sink area with hot water for washing up. Sponges and Ecover washing up liquid are provided at the sinks.

We have a portable pizza oven that can be hired, please enquire for details.

Wash Block

There are 4 toilets with sink and mirror in each and 3 large shower rooms.

There are some shampoos and shower gels provided in the showers. The toilets and showers are regularly cleaned.

We do not provide towels so please remember to bring your own.
