Our Bell Tents

Inside

Our ivory canvas bell tents are a genuine classic providing an authentic camping experience but with that extra bit of ‘glamping’ luxury and convenience.

There’s no need for you to worry about sleeping bags, camp beds or other paraphernalia. Each of our bell tents is fully furnished with comfy, ‘proper’ mattresses and cosy, warm duvets, as well as two pillows and a blanket on each bed. If you require extra blankets just ask.

Bell tents are one of the most iconic tent styles. A central pole supports the canvas and guy ropes provide stability. Made from waterproof and breathable natural canvas, sleeping in a bell tent is a far more pleasant experience than sleeping in a standard polyester tent.

Our nine 6-metre tents each sleep up to six people. We have both double and single mattresses and can configure the tent to suit your requirements. Please advise your preference at the time of booking.

You’ll see from our photographs that we like to decorate the inside of the tents with flowers and foliage, cushions and throws, table furnishings, fairy lights and fake candles to provide ambience. You might also find some surprise treats waiting for you!

There is also a mains lamp powered by low voltage mains. This supplies low level power to the tents and for devices to be able to be charged.

Outside

Our bell tents are pitched in among the trees on the 10 acre Oak Lodge meadow. It is a flat site (this is Norfolk after all!) and your tent will be on level ground.

Each tent has its own outdoor space and comes with a camping table, fire pit and BBQ. Cooking and eating outside, roasting marshmallows or simply watching the camp-fire flicker after dark are likely to be one of the memorable parts of your camping experience. There will be a small pile of complimentary logs to get you started on your first night.

Additional firewood and charcoal for the BBQ is available to purchase on site.

You will also have shared access to the communal camp kitchen which includes fridge, four-ring gas hob and kettle, as well as miscellaneous cookware and crockery.
