Oak Lodge Glamping

Bell tents with a comfortable real mattress and homely décor, in the beautiful Norfolk countryside near Thetford forest.

Perfect for those who want the outdoors experience but don’t fancy pitching a tent.

Every morning at 10am is Animal Hour where you can come and experience feeding and petting the animals! You can also hose down the pigs, hand feed the goats and chickens and say hello to the snake. This is a great experience to get up close to all sort of animals, native and not, and it’s for children of all ages!

We also offer Livery Stays so get in touch if you would like to bring your horse so that you can enjoy off road riding straight from the campsite on to miles of tracks through the Norfolk farmland and countryside.

Everything was amazing!

Came here for a joint 18th birthday party and it was so much fun! 

All of us were treated so well and felt really welcomed, as the staff were so friendly and lovely. All the facilities were brilliant, even had a fire pit, the tents had such cute details and so clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend this cosy place to anyone looking for a fab night/weekend stay , even planing my next visit !

We stayed as a group of 20 family members for my mum’s 70th birthday from 26-29 August. We had a brilliant time and the hosts were so welcoming and friendly, regularly checking that we had everything we needed and arranging lovely thoughtful surprises. The daily animal experiences were such a hit with all of the kids as was the plane in the tree!! Everything was thought of and we had a lovely, relaxing stay in a really unique, beautiful setting. We loved our stay at the Oak Lodge Glamping site. There are lots to do with the kids, very unique playing areas. Natural woodlands for them to roam around in, which is such a change from our busy London life. Clean tents and toilet/shower areas, lovely outdoor cooking area as well welcoming people on site. The feeding animal hour in the morning was an extra bonus and kids enjoyed alot! Will come back again!

Best camping holiday we've ever had! Every detail of the campsite made our trip so magical - from the aeroplane in the tree and pirate ship to the marshmallows and decorations in the tent. It's hard to pick a highlight, but we all absolutely adored Animal Hour at 10am every day - it was extremely special to meet all the animals, and the hosts' family was so patient and kind with all of us and the other guests. It was a real testament to the friendliness of the family and business... The tent was fantastic - very well kitted out, excellent bbq and camp fire...Thank you Oak Lodge!!

We had a lovely night stay at Oaklodge glamping. The hosts were lovely and accommodating of our party of 8! The amenities were unique and fun (a kitchen in a old school caravan!). The tents were spacious and comfortable. We were well looked after and will definitely be returning again when we are in the area next. Thank you!

We had a fabulous time at Oak Lodge... it was a perfect get together. Clean shower and toilet block, lovely little basket of fruit, wine and water plus marshmallows in each tent. There are fridges in the caravan kitchen which you can use for milk etc. The children loved the rope swings, the pirate ship, the hidden plane, and the fact they could run all around the campsite without us having to worry about them - feral children who only came back when hungry or thirsty. People who worked there were very helpful and friendly. A really really relaxing fun weekend.

Owners have clearly thought everything through extensively to ensure your stay is comfortable, clean and enjoyable. Space between tents is great, kids area is fantastic (we didn't have kids with us but the aeroplane was cool!) Toilets and showers were clean and the tent was lovely and spacious. We were impressed with the plates, dishes, fruit, marshmellows, fire wood, charcoal, bbq, fire pit, bbq utensils, soap and toilet paper all included. Facilities on site were great with a shop and freshly made coffee with a variety of milks! Staff were all friendly and accommodating and wanted nothing more than for you to enjoy your stay. We will definitely be returning. Well deserved 5 star review.

Perfect getaway for me and my granddaughter age 7. Magical from the moment we arrived! Fairy lights and complimentary wine! We barbecued and fed the horses. Lazed and wandered! Went to Australia in the aeroplane ✈️ and tried to pluck acorns from the trees by swinging up really high! Best of all we waited until the sun went down then went on a torch walk checking out stars and moths. Great stay we will be back.
