Our grand old oak trees are a key part of the Oak Lodge Glamping site, offering natural shade, habitats for creatures and creepy crawlies and generally looking magnificent (as well as providing good ol’ clean oxygen to breathe!).
One wonderful side benefit of the trees are the baby saplings that crop up each year from the slew of acorns that land on the fertile ground below.
Of course, we can’t let all of them grow, or there’d be no room for tents, but we’ve decided that rather than mowing them down, we’re going to save them and pot them up for you to take home and grow elsewhere!
Re-wilding is really important right now as we face uncertain environmental times, so why not take an Oak Lodge baby oak home with you and plant it somewhere where you can enjoy it for years to come!
Baby Oaks in eco pots are available from the on-site shop for just £2 each!
Plant the tree in it’s pot (it’s biodegradable and offers protection to roots upon planting) and water, then leave to grow!
